How I lost my mind

One of the hardest things to accomplish as a coach is to get your clients to "just do the thing".

So much so that I almost gave up on coaching.

Heck, I almost gave up on entrepreneurship altogether, including this newsletter of 700+ subscribers.

Why?

For months, I was banging my head against the wall, watching my clients hesitate and procrastinate taking no action on the business they said they wanted to start.

It left me completely frustrated and feeling defeated.

And then, this happened...

On a regular Monday at 1:58 PM, my phone buzzed with a text from a client: "I put in my resignation". 😲

This one text completely changed the way I approach coaching.

To give a little back story, my client was experiencing serious burnout 4 years into working for a startup.

She'd reached a point where she knew she was ready to quit her job and start a business.

But like most, she had no clue what she wanted to do or how she would survive life after corporate.

I mean, after all, she had bills, a son on his way to college, and life wouldn't stop because she needed time to figure things out.

I had laid out a solid business plan, but she struggled to focus.

The anxiety of the unknown paralyzed her. I could see the path so clearly, but why couldn't she?

Frustrated but determined, I stepped back. I couldn't give up tho - not on her, not on myself.

I just needed a fresh perspective.

And a clear path to help her do what I knew she was meant to do.

That's when a previous experience sparked an idea.

Years ago, I'd researched cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) for my son with ADHD.

CBT focuses on awareness of emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

I believed this technique held the piece that was missing from my program.

And to be honest from a lot of coaching programs.

So I resurfaced this research.

It quickly made me realize that most new entrepreneurs face what I call "M.E Roadblocks" - Mental and Emotional.

These roadblocks mask themselves as business problems.

So I created a step-by-step exercise, diving deep into her fears, beliefs, desires, experiences, and motivation.

As she worked through it, everything started to click - for both of us.

This blueprint gave her the clarity and confidence she needed to quit her 6-figure job and "do the thing".

And within just 4 weeks, she launched her business.

But she accomplished so much more.

She was able to address her fears head-on and give herself the time and attention to focus on her business – something she hadn't been able to do before

Now, this exercise is the foundation for all my programs.

It's the essential first step before we even think about starting a business.

This Pre-Launch Blueprint could be your game-changer, just like it was for her.
